We tend to lump all the blame (or success if we ever have any) on the big 3: Daboll, Bowen, and Kafka. What about the position coaches? I would think it is their job, not D, B, and K, to teach the fundamentals of their position. Yeah, shit rolls uphill and the HC, DC, and OC are supposed to ensure the position guys are doing their jobs.
Thoughts on the O are welcome, but I'm more interested in D, where even a dummy like me can see things like bad tackling or angles crop up routinely.
We've heaped praise on Briscillo (OL). What about the others? Eric's position reviews concentrate on players (it would be nice if there was a little review on the staff, too).
What say you?
And what about our defensive backs coaches? They can't teach our cornerbacks to look at receivers eyes and turn around for the ball? And without grabbing and committing PI on a regular basis?
These are all teachable with good position coaches.
Are you always this dense?
To be fair you give some credit to Tierney for Dart improving every week and for squeezing what he could from DeVito.
Otherwise, every unit gets worse. It’s so damning.

How is the TE coach not teaching Johnson to catch a ball?
Body catching, though, is a technique that seems to be something that can be coached out of.

Maybe RB. Maybe. But the only newcomer was Skatt, so who knows how much of an influence Betts made on the position group.
