Chris Bisignano on Banks.

SFGFNCGiantsFan : 11/6/2025 8:11 pm
Listened to The Giants Insider Podcast earlier. He said Banks is even more immature than Kadarius. Toney apparently was @ his locker, but Tae is never around.

Haha. What else is there to say?

I can't get over his lack of an effort on that TD in the 49ers game. If there was ANY accountability in this organization, he would have cut after the game or even traded before the deadline on Tuesday for a sixth or seventh rounder.
Maybe no one wanted him

He’s one of the worst corners I’ve ever watched
Why would anyone...

trade a draft pick for him?

As bad as Banks was on that play
FranknWeezer : 11/6/2025 8:24 pm : link
we should be questioning why the running back got into the clear to the third level of the defense without any contact before Banks came into the picture.

So basically you're inferring that the entire defense sucks dead ass dogs?
I cannot possibly a legitimate argument to that question myself

that he was a good kid and hard worker at Maryland? Someone’s guilty of some serious misevaluation. Or another case of give someone several million dollars and they turn into a different person

Damn shame, but regardless he’d be a good candidate to cut midseason to send a message. If we only had a coach like Parcells or Coughlin with the balls to do that

There was Joe Judge who had Oshane Ximines deactivated for the second half of 2021 for jumping offsides.

A little more graphic than I had in mind, but basically.
What do you expect

From Bank’s 14 million dollar salary, paid to an unmotivated bum. Thanks JS….put him in the Evan Neil file…..

For real. The front 7 is almost entirely healthy. Only McFadden is out.

What's the excuse for this shit run defense, they can't function without Micah McFadden?!?

Who here ever believes Bisignano on anything? Think about it.

Is there anything wrong with just saying Banks is a poor/bad CB without trying for character assassination?

Another gift from Wink Martindale. Blame Schoen all you want, but this one is squarely on Wink. Everyone else wanted Porter at that point.

JMS was scouted more or less universally as the second best center in the draft. One could argue he should've been left, or down to round 3, that's fine.

Also, you don't honestly think coaches have no input on player selections, do you?

The money doesn't change people; it reveals who they truly are.
but the great Wink Martindale loved him!

This, and to make matters worse, both Banks and Porter were on the board. Wink though Banks was a better fit for his defense. So we gave up a pick to move up for a player that doesn't know how to play in a zone defense or know how to run support.
I don't care about Banks at this point
arniefez : 11/7/2025 9:51 am : link
he's a sunk cost bust. The same goes for Neil, Hyatt, Nubin, JMS, and Ezeudu, all 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks from 2022-24.

What I heard that was much more concerning to me was that "in the building at 1925 Giants Way" there are "a lot" of people who think this roster is much better than their 2-7 record.

I'll take a guess that four of the "a lot" are named John, Chris, Tim and Joe along with the Mara deep state bureaucracy lead by Abrams, Triggs and Breit. With the except of Schoen the other six drafted Kadarius Toney and Deonte Banks and if they fire Schoen the other six will be drafting the Giants class with a new GM.

That's precisely why I feel like there is no hope it's ever going to get better. I think it's likely the Giants are going to be bottom feeders and a laughing stock for as long as John, Chris and Tim along with the Mara deep state bureaucracy are in charge of the Giants football operation.

I think at this point all Giants fans have to make a decision about how much of our time, energy, emotional commitment and money we're going to continue to commit to John, Chris and Tim and their lackeys for life.

Personally in all the years I've rooted for the Giants, lived and died with the Giants, planned my schedule around the Giants schedule, I've never been less interested in watching them than I am now.

There are 8 games left. I think the Giants are going to lose most of them, if not all of them. Anyone disagree? Anyone care?

IMO the only thing that matters for the rest of this year is can Dart make it through these 8 games without a serious injury that will affect his 2026 season. I doubt it. I think with this roster and this coaching staff it will take a miracle.

The absolute last thing I could possibly care about is assassinating Deontae Banks' character.

If it swims like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then dollars to donuts, it is a duck. Even if it came out later that the guy is actually Jerry Lewis in his spare time, he's a garbage player that's emblematic of this era of Giants football (among many others) and from my perspective as a fan, I cannot wait until we jettison him.
I think Chris Bisignano is a credible source for Giants information
arniefez : 11/7/2025 10:16 am : link
He has a professional relationship with a lot of team employees and I find him to be a good observer/listener of what happens around the Giants from ownership down.

I'll never forget in the preseason of 2023 with expectations for a competitive season very high after the MN playoff win Bisignano saying that the Giants were shocked by the intensity of the Lions practice speed when they went to Detroit for joint practices.

He was the only Giants beat writer that pointed that out and it was prophetic for what has happened since 2023 started and the Brian Daboll lack of preparation in way era.

Even though I wind up rolling my eyes a lot (there's some sucking up to Bob Papa that's not my thing, among other Giants employees) I almost always listen to the Giants Insider podcast because I trust that he tells the truth about things we have no other way of knowing.

Agreed. And I know Jerry Foley very well from work. They're good guys and do a good job.

Schoen's Giants are picking way too many young men

Gettleman's Giants did too
arniefez : 11/7/2025 12:02 pm : link
I'm not sure the GM is the problem. Gettleman made a similar trade, to the one Schoen did to get Banks, to get Baker.

Different GMs. Same MO. Baker was even worse than Banks on the field and pretty much the same off the field.

Desperation whack-a-mole strike on a wrestler-type because your Oline coach pulled the fire alarm on making protection calls. Then the player can't even get half a man on most DTs trying to get by him.

You're playing the Eagles 2x per year, btw. Might want to make sure you're OL is long on physicality. Thanks to all parties involved.
