One of my favorite parts of new coaching staffs is that it often means new players
A few things I’ve read on Nagy
1. On record saying he likes to have a U-TE, which is essentially a TE who can be used as a chess piece and line up in the slot, in-line, split out wide. Something he learned from Reid, to create mismatches. Obviously Kelce played this role in KC. Nagy also tried to emulate it in Chicago by signing Tre Burton. We’ve also seen it in other Reid disciples (Peterson did it with Ertz, then Engram in Jax - Kafka, to some extent, tried it with Waller)
Isaiah Likely seems like a natural fit given his ties to Harbaugh, and skill set that fits this role. If not Likely, I’d keep an eye on Eli Stowers, a day 2 prospect in the draft.
2. Zebra - a slot player who gets high volume of underneath targets in the rpo game, gadget play, etc. Makes me think they prioritize Wan’Dale, who fits this role like a glove. In past, Nagy has used guys like Taylor Gabriel, and also have seen KC try it with Kadarius Toney/Skyy Moore before landing on Rashee Rice
3. 3rd down back - not sure if they target a player in draft/FA, or maybe Tracy fits this role with his WR background. Tarik Cohen put up great production as a receiver. They also had Jerrick McKinnon, Breshard Smith. Usually a smaller scat back who can make things happen after the catch’s
I’m sure Nagy will mold his offense to what the Giants have. But these are a few of the ways he’s used personnel in the past to create mismatches.
I don't understand why anyone would try to figure out what coach x or y would mean to the team.
If this is JH in charge and the bad Giants moves going away why speculate on what Nagy or any other coach brings to the team from elsewhere?
Nagy failed in Chicago, was it because Chicago expected him to field a team that was a clone of KS? Possibly.
JH has already stated he expects to win with the team he has, so we should not expect a NE makeover or huge haul from the draft that as of now, the team does not have much capital in.
Will he interesting w Bellinger. They couldn’t. Have done a shittier job utilizing him if they tried one they right in Waller and drafted Theo. He’s by no means some stud but on a team like the Rams or Bills he would bebmaint plays
Hope he received a hands transplant in the offseason then

said yesterday that Theo Johnson will be a focal point.

That possibility is why they need to obtain an NFL caliber starting TE.

Johnson can catch - he just needs to focus on the ball 1st. Like Victor Cruz, he tries to run before he secures the ball. I don't think it is his hands - he will make a spectacular catch, then drop an easy one.
My guess is they continue with Johnson and perhaps bring back Bellinger.
I also think they will look elsewhere for a slot WR. I love WanDale, but he is going to get a large number from another team - like Tennessee.
Especially in light of much more pressing needs.
this is fake news. please stop repeating it. it never happened. by all accounts most players of the ravens were saddened he was let go.
I will be looking forward to see what Nagy does with Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Cam Skattebo.
This is gonna be a fun season to be a Giants fan.
