Good point. Goedert will actually block and render the likes of Manhertz superfluous (as well as line up at H-back, go over the middle and be a RZ target).
Believe we will go after this offseason. He gets killed bc as a #4 overall pick the expectations are sky high. However this is a TE who has already had two near or greater than 1000 yard seasons. He is a legit threat in the pasing game.
posters on BBI, but I wonder if his impact on the field matches his stats? I recognized that many of the posters who use this logic are just being lazy or don't want to admit that they are wrong but sometimes there is some truth to this question.
In this case, Pitts appeared to be the focal point (after Drake London who missed five games) of the passing attack for a ball-control offense that had 545 passing attempts to 477 rushing attempts. (Yeah I know, Michael Penix was the QB etc.) He also had a career low in yards per catch (again Penix was the QB for most of the year) but I wonder if he is still the downfield threat that he was out of college.
Leaving out blocking, Hands-wise, I would definitely take Kyle Pitts over the current Giants TEs, but is the upgrade worth the price?
RE: I'd rather sign Goedert for a much cheaper 2-3 year deal
You won't get Goedert for cheaper even if he's older. He's a two way TE and I doubt Philly loses him without a fight.
Pitts is entering his prime and his 2nd contract. He's had a productive but flawed start to his career. He's incredibly talented. That's the guy to target in FA not the guy over 30 who has won big already. I like Goedert a lot but would think he's a pipe dream. And he would not come cheap.

Agreed. Just passing along info.
No way dude

Did you watch football this year?
Let's build the lines now.
IDT ATL is letting him walk, however.

Gtfo with that weak sauce bro.
He had 1 good game. 3 of his 5 TD on the year and his only game with 100 yards receiving.
He can’t block either.
If you didn’t watch any Atl games just say so.
Here’s his stats.
Weak sauce dude.

Second in yards by a tight end, 2nd in catches. Interesting disappearing act.
This is a very uninformed take. Just watch his 2025 highlights and tell me he wouldn't be an immediate asset.

He’s bigger and better.

And healthier.
Venus de Milo has better hands than Evan Engram.
That being said, Kyle Pitts gives me Kenny Golladay, Nate Solder vibes.
Seriously.
