Seriously, I think giants make a ton of sense as a landing spot.

It seems like there is some bitterness too between him and Eagles.

This is payback for Barkley

Philadelphia,

I’ve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end.

When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back.

The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you.

Stout out
Go get him

Apparently he’s still staying in the organization but the OC will pick his own guys

Anthony Betss was on this weeks ago.
He was told to "watch it" when asked about Stoutland.
Connor
Saquon'sQuadz : 6:53 pm : link
just said to watch the Giants here but Rap says he’s staying in the organization 🤷‍♂️
I don’t think he’d look to go anywhere else
Chris684 : 6:53 pm : link
Bought a huge place on LBI a few years back.

Cut his coaching teeth with Gilbride up in Connecticut and I know does think of NYG as a good organization.
Stoutland as Assistant Head Coach/ Offensive Line?
Big_Pete : 6:57 pm : link
John Harbaugh could be the game changer here with his new culture and overhaul of how the Giants do things.

Jeff Stoutland is from Staten Island, that could be a factor.
These reports are odd
DaveInTampa : 7:00 pm : link
He is done as OL coach, but is expected to stay with the Eagles in some capacity? What does that mean, move to front office? Transition to broadcasting?
… odd as hell
Saquon'sQuadz : 7:03 pm : link
The Eagles wanted Stoutland back, according to a league source. It sounds like this was Stoutland’s decision to step away.

From my understanding, he’ll still be welcome around the team in an unofficial capacity.
Sure seems like he’s attainable.
bceagle05 : 7:04 pm : link
We should attain him.
Get it done.

@MikeGarafolo
The plan is for Jeff Stoutland to have some sort of involvement with the #Eagles’ organization. But he will absolutely have other teams checking in with him immediately. They’ve smelled blood in the water for quite some time and are interested in him.
Eagles just released a statement
Saquon'sQuadz : 7:06 pm : link
About him leaving..

So is he available or not? Can they block him leaving for somewhere else?

Off topic, but that quote never fails to make me LOL. That & Bad News Barnes', 'I ain't getting ino time machine' when referring to time zones...comedic gold.
John Harbaugh should meet with the Mara family right now
Fishmanjim57 : 7:15 pm : link
They should drive down to Philly to pick up Stoutland and bring him up to East Rutherford tomorrow.

He's not retiring. That was made clear by various insiders. Any talk of the Eagles saying he can hang around is to handle the PR blowback that is going to come from this decision as their offseason has been a disaster.

I’m assuming he’s not available but if he is and he wants to continue coaching, they should be all over it.
Please
Please please please
...
I'd put good $ on Siranni not being the Eagles HC come the '27 season.
Hughes on the Giants
Saquon'sQuadz : 7:25 pm : link
They were aware before this tweet. They’ll be in on this, if Stoutland wants to keep coaching.

If he wants to keep coaching, give him whatever the fuck he wants.
Stoutland from what
Ash_3 : 7:31 pm : link
I've read was kind of a de facto running game coordinator with the Eagles. Given Nagy's record of lackluster running attacks (partly a talent issue, of course), you can picture Stoutland being exactly the right add. Man I hope we can sign him.

Stoutland was run game coordinator and every aspect of their rushing attack ran through him and I didn’t know this until recently but he was stripped of slot of that in favor of Petullo.
how would that work
terz22 : 7:33 pm : link
If he still under contract? If he came here wouldn't it be a lateral move and could Philly just block that?
This is about the Eagles wanting compensation

It's a good question. I'm curious about his contract situation. Maybe he just didn't re-sign.
Can they block him
If we give him a promotion? Run game coordinator?
Id murder a hobo with my bare hands
j_rud : 8:05 pm : link
to get him in the building.
He seems a stylistic fit
mittenedman : 8:05 pm : link
with Nagy, too, who I believe runs an Andy Reid-style WCO with zone blocking up front.
Yes
Giantimistic : 8:09 pm : link
Please.
Southland could live back on Staten Island
Get it done Giants.. Take him to Denino's, The Staaten, whatever the fck he wants

So let it be written

So let it be done

The Eagles have been mashing our faces in it since they got Saquon. Let’s take their guy.

better get right to work on this one.
I wouldn't sleep on the idea of Stoutland
j_rud : 8:46 pm : link
wanting to stick it to Sirianni and the Eagles. Hes been a huge part in 2 SB and something like 30 Pro Bowler/15 All Pro designations and he was stripped of half his job in favor of a dogshit coordinator.

His family wouldn't have to move, its 90 minutes up the turnpike, and comes with an opportunity to stick his thumb in Sirianni's eye twice a year.
Coach jeff
was my line coach at SCSU. He was 25 then and his passion was so freaking contagious. Hes a very serious guy but will slip in a belly laughing quote during film. I am not suprised by the success he has gone on too. This would be on par with Harbaugh for me if we brought him in here. Just look at Jason Kelces comments on him on Twitter he just posted. its all you need to know.
You'll
notice in Stoutland's statement saying he was no longer coaching with the Eagles, he didn't thank Lurie, Roseman or Sirianni. He was there for 13 years.

This is a more recent thing. The reporting is that the eagles wanted him back as OL coach but not as run game coordinator where he’d oversee the run game, most likely due to it being a new scheme.

So for the Giants to have any chance at getting him I would assume they’d need to make him the run game coordinator (and empower him as such) as well as OL coach.
