I’ve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end.
When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back.
The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you.
He is done as OL coach, but is expected to stay with the Eagles in some capacity? What does that mean, move to front office? Transition to broadcasting?
@MikeGarafolo
The plan is for Jeff Stoutland to have some sort of involvement with the #Eagles’ organization. But he will absolutely have other teams checking in with him immediately. They’ve smelled blood in the water for quite some time and are interested in him.

Off topic, but that quote never fails to make me LOL. That & Bad News Barnes', 'I ain't getting ino time machine' when referring to time zones...comedic gold.
John Harbaugh should meet with the Mara family right now
statement doesn't say anything about staying. Stoutland - ( New Window )
I noticed that too so is he retiring and just helping out?
He's not retiring. That was made clear by various insiders. Any talk of the Eagles saying he can hang around is to handle the PR blowback that is going to come from this decision as their offseason has been a disaster.
I've read was kind of a de facto running game coordinator with the Eagles. Given Nagy's record of lackluster running attacks (partly a talent issue, of course), you can picture Stoutland being exactly the right add. Man I hope we can sign him.

Stoutland was run game coordinator and every aspect of their rushing attack ran through him and I didn’t know this until recently but he was stripped of slot of that in favor of Petullo.
wanting to stick it to Sirianni and the Eagles. Hes been a huge part in 2 SB and something like 30 Pro Bowler/15 All Pro designations and he was stripped of half his job in favor of a dogshit coordinator.
His family wouldn't have to move, its 90 minutes up the turnpike, and comes with an opportunity to stick his thumb in Sirianni's eye twice a year.
was my line coach at SCSU. He was 25 then and his passion was so freaking contagious. Hes a very serious guy but will slip in a belly laughing quote during film. I am not suprised by the success he has gone on too. This would be on par with Harbaugh for me if we brought him in here. Just look at Jason Kelces comments on him on Twitter he just posted. its all you need to know.
notice in Stoutland's statement saying he was no longer coaching with the Eagles, he didn't thank Lurie, Roseman or Sirianni. He was there for 13 years.

This is a more recent thing. The reporting is that the eagles wanted him back as OL coach but not as run game coordinator where he’d oversee the run game, most likely due to it being a new scheme.
So for the Giants to have any chance at getting him I would assume they’d need to make him the run game coordinator (and empower him as such) as well as OL coach. Link - ( New Window )
Seriously, I think giants make a ton of sense as a landing spot.
It seems like there is some bitterness too between him and Eagles.
This is payback for Barkley

Stout out
Cut his coaching teeth with Gilbride up in Connecticut and I know does think of NYG as a good organization.
Jeff Stoutland is from Staten Island, that could be a factor.
From my understanding, he’ll still be welcome around the team in an unofficial capacity.

So is he available or not? Can they block him leaving for somewhere else?

If he wants to keep coaching, give him whatever the fuck he wants.

It's a good question. I'm curious about his contract situation. Maybe he just didn't re-sign.
The Eagles have been mashing our faces in it since they got Saquon. Let’s take their guy.
