With college all-star games and further tape study in the books, NFL Network draft guru and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah updates his ranking of the top 50 draft-eligible prospects heading into the on-field events and workouts at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine. |
Oops Mauignao is 12th, Proctor listed once, 29th.
I would say a few things His average yard per catch for his career is 15 yards per catch. So he can get downfield, which is good considering many colleges average depth of reception is much lower than 15.
He also had a ZERO percent drop rate last season combined with an 85% contested catch rate..
He had dropped 5 passes his whole college career.
So there is solid production.
The fact that so many fans dont see ILB as a major glaring issue is crazy to me..

outstanding. 47th in cfb in yardage is not quite outstanding. 264/1, 733/4, 875/9.

I don’t think it’s so much that than it is we could use all of the guys that drop to us in that scenario. I don’t see one hole that much bigger than the rest. Going to come down to the cliche BPA unless Wilson or Nagy present their case for one specific guy. Wilson is know for his work in the secondary and all different looks which would make Downs a good option. But Okereke could be a cap cut (rumors of signing Dean?). There’s really no bad scenario especially with an Edge heavy top of the draft. Could slide down a spot or two
Easy, draft Reese and play him at ILB.
Precisely where I'm at. Any of those three should dramatically improve the Giants' D if they live up to their potential.

Yep, I'm #3 for this. Three studs who immediately help, in positions of real weakness for us
Watch the 2nd safety on his list have better career than Downs.
Love Styles - nice to see him up at #5.
Wonder if Fano/Mauioga getting nit picked some in this process. Want to see how each measure and move - hopefully they participate at combine.
Styles for me
Tate is a tall, long wideout with outstanding play speed and production. He has excellent suddenness to defeat press coverage, and he covers ground quickly with his long stride. He attacks defender's leverage when they play him in off coverage. He has strong/reliable hands in traffic and tracks the ball beautifully over his shoulder down the field. He can access an extra gear when the ball is in the air. He is a loose athlete and that shows up when he adjusts to balls thrown on his back shoulder. He is efficient with his footwork when working back to the quarterback. He's not exceptionally dynamic with the ball in his hands. Overall, Tate should provide an immediate impact in the vertical passing game.
Jeremiah on Justin Jefferson in 2020:
Jefferson is a tall, slender wideout with off-the-charts production. He lines up in the slot and out wide. He is an outstanding route runner. He does a nice job getting on the toes of cornerbacks and then creating separation out of the break point. He does a lot of work in traffic and will extend and finish before taking hard contact. He can play above the rim down the field and can contort his body to make special catches. He doesn't have elite speed, but he's plenty fast enough. After the catch, he has some wiggle and will fight for extra yards. Overall, Jefferson is a polished receiver and should make an immediate impact at the next level.
Jefferson's stats: 111/1540/18
Per target production, efficiency production, and explosive production are top shelf

This. Look at what Fred Warner means to San Fran. If he can be that good grab him. The real issue is the Giants draft wise haven’t given a shit about ILB or in general LB in 25 years. Indnt consider EDGE guys true Lbs. especially as they seem to use them as DEs.

I need YAC for 5th pick in the draft
