NFL Network is replaying the game tonight as part of a “rookie showcase” of Jaxson Dart.
It’s the third quarter, 13-0, Bo Nix can’t complete a pass, Dart/Skatt/Theo/Wan’dale are all making plays. Crowd is dead.
No way I’m watching the fourth quarter, but man I remember jumping around when Theo caught the ricochet TD and thinking “we are back.”
Lot has changed since that game.
With the new kickoff rules and letting kickers prep their balls all week so they can regularly make 60 yarders it's become harder and harder to protect leads.
What happened in Denver was bad, and was a breakdown on a lot of levels, but get used to it because we're going to see more and more of them. The Giants were not the only team last season to blow a big lead.
The Broncos scored immediately and the Giants defense seemingly didn’t make a stop for a month afterwards.
That's number one, without a doubt my #1 Giants game that pisses me the fuck off.
That my BBI is a very, very ... VERY hard list to top.
What is it with this fucking team? No matter who the head coach is, the starting QB, who the teams barber is, they have this INFURIATING obsession with blowing large leads.
I thought that 49ers game could never be topped and I thought the Desean Jackson game was overblown but there's something about this one that just makes me blow my fucking top.

To me it is all coaching. Everyone knows when you take your foot off of the pedal while the other team goes into desperation mode, it will not end well.
We stopped playing defense and the play calling on offense was criminal.
You saw the same thing in that 49er playoff game except is started in the 3rd quarter. We actually stopped trying to score on offense. Plus, the players on defense had a melt down and could not compose themselves. Do you remember the penalties?
The Desean Jackson game to me was more of Coughlin deciding to fold up the offensive tents too early. I do not think we got a single first down on our last few posessions and we went prevent mode on defense. I thought it was crazy to blame that loss on a punter simply because he kicked it to Jackson. That game was over before his foot touched the football. Everyone in that stadium knew it. That was Coughlin's worst coaching job as a Giant and he scapegoated the fucking punter and cut him.
If anyone here disagrees with my take on the Eagle's game, just watch the second half again with an open mind and ask yourself why we lost that game.
I think maybe the Desean Jackson game doesn’t make me as mad because I saw it coming from a mile away and, well, I was on the toilet. I swear, all I remember was the ball getting booted up and by the time I was taking my Matt Dodge, I see Buck or whoever on the Fox post game talking and the game was over, they weren’t talking about a score so I quickly checked online, I said wow they scored right away, very quickly, and I was puzzled why they won by 7 and not 6 since it was in OT. I said huh? They actually scored on that? I would never expect something so stupid to happen, but then I remembered exactly what team I followed. Good thing my father gave me some dark chocolate earlier in the day lol.
Also, that Vikings game in 1997 might be number three now. Underrated one is the 2018 road Philly game. Talk about stupid coaching.
I couldn't watch that game again. But if I did, every screw up would be seem as bringing us one step closer to Harbaugh! Without Denver I am not sure the season plays out the way it did and who knows where we are now.
Its not as simple as Denver started playing, all teams do at home late. A lot of things needed to go right for Denver, and our team had a losing attitude
And when Hey Jude shanked the extra point you knew we were losing on a FG.
Also, as stated the Giants lost 2 guys from the secondary or at least 1 during the game and 1 was already out. The chicken came home to roost.
I turned last night's replay off before the 4th. No point watching that garbage but man is Scat really good. His vision and patience is Tiki-esque.
My favorite hill to die on with assessing NFL talent is which guys can see. Scat and Dart see everything. That's why they will be great.
That too. I went from giddy to terrified once we lost the DB and Denver got some traction, even with the big lead still in place. Teams lose in Denver all the time for good reason.
